Special Visits to Perak Road Psychology Ward

Hey!
Guess what?
I've recently went to Perak Road Psychiatric Ward in Penang and the next day, I went to Alor Setar Prison.
How all this happen?
Ok. Things goes on like this.
I am currently pursuing Psychology degree in Disted College Penang.
One of our trip is to go to a psychiatric ward.
Since last year's seniors had already went to Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta in Tanjung Rambutan, its gotta be the one in Perak Road this year.
Excited???
Of course I am.
I mean, for the first time, I am going to a psychiatric ward!!!
I am just like other people, thinking what type of people are we going to meet?

Here's the gate to Perak Road Psychiatric Ward.

Are we suppose to talk to them or not? and questions like that.

We become more anxious than the patients there. lol.

OHYA! Did I mention that it was awesomely HOT that day?

YEAH! Its HOT with the glazing sun on that day and I keep on sweating like no body's business.

Ms Suri explain to us what actually happens there and so on.

I remember one of them said " Saya nak mati, Saya x mau hidup lagi!". The funny thing is, she is smiling when she is talking.
Her expression is like, dying is something so joyful.
The ward is rather a small one compare Hospital Bahagia (according to the seniors) but the good thing is that we can interact with the patients there.
Most of them there are having schizophrenia.

Here we go!!! And the door opens!!!

Unfortunately, due to some privacy policy we're not allowed to take any photo of the patients there.
As we enter into the female ward, we realized that everyone is staring at us.
Its pretty scary having them ceased all their activities and stare at us with a fierce face.
Soon, as they get used to our presence, its pretty okay to hang around as they will not harm us.
At most, they will just shout at us asking us to go off!!!!

At the OT(Occupational Therapy)

Its an awesome experience for me as a first timer.
I wish to visit to Hospital Bahagia aka Tanjung Rambutan to see the more serious cases. hahahahaha...

Here's a group photo of us at the end of the visit.

okay. Class ends d.
Yea... I use Dr Gavin's time to blog. Its bad. I know.
But

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bye bye....................
